Exeter City Swimming Club Trials
Well done and congratulations to the following swimmers who were
accepted at the last trials and are now training in the Development
Squad:

Rhiannon Loveman and Emma Bullous.
House of Lords and Breast Cancer Campaign
Sarah and Zara were very proud to represent Splash at the House of
Lords on the 30th April in recognition of all the sponsorship money
Splash swimmers raised for Breast Cancer Campaign last Summer Term
(£2711.08). It was a very emotional event but great to hear about
the progress and developments being made to prevent this disease and
it is good to know that the money you helped us raise is going to
such a good cause.
It is hard to believe that a year has gone by already. This year’s
Breast Cancer Swimathon will take place during the week of 23rd
June. Some of the younger swimmers may be set a number of tasks to
try to complete for this event, those that are up to distance
swimming will be trying to swim as far as they can for the lesson
during that week. Adults who wish to take part are also very
welcome. Why not set yourself your own challenge; for example how
far you can swim during the week…
This cause is close to Zara’s heart as she lost both her mother and
maternal grandmother to Breast Cancer and there have also been
parents within Splash that have had Breast Cancer. Any support that
you feel you can offer will be very gratefully received. Let’s try
to beat last year’s target!! Please return all forms and
sponsorship money to Splash before the end of the summer term.
Summer Holiday Lessons
Keep your own swimming as well as your child’s progressing through
the holidays with rapid results. Splash Private lessons will be
available through the holidays on Mondays and Thursdays (2.30 – 7pm)
and Saturdays (9am – 1pm) at the Stable Club (21st July - 7th
September).

Bookings for Autumn Term
It is hoped that these will commence the week beginning 30th June. I
am looking into whether it will be possible to make payments and
bookings on-line and details of how to book for next term will
follow nearer the time. Please remember that bookings are taken on a
first come basis, so to avoid disappointment do not delay!
Swimming Hat Reminder
Please note that all children in Beginners - Advanced (those working
towards National Swim Award 3 and above) swim hats are compulsory
during lessons. If you wish to purchase a high quality silicone
Splash Hat please contact Zara or the Splash Office. (Only £4.50)
